Photronics, a global manufacturer of high-precision photomasks used in semiconductor fabrication, needed to ensure consistent product and process quality across sites in Asia, Europe, and North America. Management initiated a formal evaluation to find an enterprise-wide statistical process control (SPC) system that would allow them to control critical characteristics and share quality improvements between manufacturing locations.

Photronics selected STATISTICA Enterprise/QC for its ease of integration with the existing manufacturing execution system and its flexibility. They standardized statistical tools, deployed the solution at six international sites, and coupled the rollout with SPC training—providing a limited set of operator charts while enabling engineers to analyze critical-to-quality measures. The scalable platform supports internal or external databases and positions Photronics to standardize DOE and FMEA, helping the company capture and share quality gains across sites.
