General University Hospital in Prague - Customer Case Study

STATISTICA partnered with the General University Hospital (GUH) in Prague to support clinical pharmacology research aimed at optimizing individualized drug dosing for critically ill and pediatric patients. GUH required sophisticated software to model variables such as age, clinical condition, genetics and extracorporeal treatments (ECMO, HDF), after outsourcing proved inefficient for these multidisciplinary needs.

GUH implemented STATISTICA Standard (StatSoft CR), which was installed quickly with minimal IT support and vendor-led training. The software now produces patient-specific dosage proposals, supports PK/PD and therapeutic drug monitoring research, aids validation with the national regulator, and has helped reduce treatment and hospitalization times and drug acquisition costs while bolstering academic instruction and publications.
