Česká rafinérská, the Czech Republic’s largest crude oil processor and refined-products producer (a joint business of Unipetrol, Eni and Shell), needed a more advanced way to monitor product quality and predict process changes than the basic tools it had been using. The refinery required software that could handle large volumes of measurements—temperature, density, viscosity and other inputs—to ensure final products met specifications and to optimize production scheduling.
