Case Study: Tryon International Equestrian Center achieves $25K in hardware savings and two‑node HA hyperconvergence with StarWind Software

A StarWind Software Case Study

Preview of the Tryon International Equestrian Center Case Study

Tryon International Equestrian Center saves more than $25K in hardware cost by replacing its aging servers with StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA)

Tryon International Equestrian Center, an entertainment venue, faced aging infrastructure running 20 virtual machines across three non‑HA hosts and needed an affordable route to a highly available environment without committing to a three‑node cluster it didn’t require. Replacing the hardware and moving to hyperconvergence was necessary but initially cost‑prohibitive.

The center deployed StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA) to achieve a two‑node HA setup at a much lower price point, benefiting from StarWind’s stable software and support. The new infrastructure meets all operational needs, and the organization estimates hardware cost savings of about $25,000 over three years, with plans to continue using StarWind for future projects.
