Case Study: Sun Peaks Resort achieves a high-availability, all-flash failover cluster and simplified single-pane management with StarWind Software

A StarWind Software Case Study

Preview of the Sun Peaks Resort Case Study

Sun Peaks Resort accelerates a turnover of its services by building a high-availability (HA) cluster implemented with StarWind HyperConverged Appliance (HCA)

Sun Peaks Resort, a four-season destination in British Columbia, needed a cost-effective, easy-to-manage way to build a high-availability server cluster without a dedicated storage array. Its existing Hyper-V setup with Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct proved unreliable and required a datacenter license the resort didn’t have, so the IT team sought a flexible HA solution that would let them spin up VMs as needed.

The resort deployed StarWind HyperConverged Appliance (HCA), a turnkey solution with a built-in datacenter license, single-pane web management, and all-flash performance. The HCA enabled failover between nodes, seamless conversion of a VMware virtual disk to Hyper-V, resolved their priority issues, and delivered reliable support—prompting plans to manage all clusters with StarWind.
