Case Study: Ainsworth Game Technology achieves cost-efficient true high availability with StarWind Software's Virtual SAN

A StarWind Software Case Study

StarWind Virtual SAN delivered Ainsworth Game Technology true HA in a cost-efficient way

Ainsworth Game Technology (AGT), a slot machine manufacturer founded in 1995, needed to upgrade its non-clustered two-node Hyper-V environment (using Hyper-V Replica) to support true high availability and Live Migration. The company considered a physical SAN but sought a more cost-effective way to cluster its infrastructure and provide shared storage.

AGT deployed StarWind Virtual SAN, which mirrored existing compute and storage between servers to deliver shared storage and HA without buying new hardware. The hardware-agnostic solution ran on AGT’s existing equipment, enabled a full Hyper-V cluster with Live Migration, and provided the desired high availability in a cost-efficient, easy-to-deploy manner.
