A StarWind Software Case Study
Sears Home and Franchise, a franchising business for garage solutions, faced a costly and complex storage problem: three Dell servers with no shared storage, no true high availability or fault tolerance, and limited on-site IT expertise. Traditional SAN options were too expensive, inflexible and risked vendor lock-in, so the company needed an affordable, easy-to-manage way to achieve reliable, high-performance storage.
Sears deployed the StarWind HyperConverged Appliance on three Hyper-V servers using existing hardware. The HCA delivered high availability, improved performance and fault tolerance while reducing costs and administration effort, all under a single support umbrella—allowing the small IT team to manage the environment with minimal overhead.
