A StarWind Software Case Study
Rodillian Multi Academy Trust, a group of secondary schools in Yorkshire, faced fragmented IT: each school ran separate domains on aging, out-of-warranty servers with a mix of SAN/DAS and Hyper-V/VMware hypervisors. This legacy estate could not reliably host central services or support expected growth, so the trust needed a resilient, scalable platform that would lower operational costs and enable domain centralization.
The trust deployed a cost-effective StarWind HCA three-node, all‑flash hyperconverged appliance and consolidated its environments onto Hyper‑V, replacing outdated servers with a single high-performance platform. The move centralized domains, improved resilience and performance, and provided scalable capacity for future growth while reducing IT operational expenses.
