Proxen law firm chooses StarWind Enterprise HA and Veeam Backup 3.0

Proxen, a leading Ukrainian law firm with two decades of client archives, needed a centralized, scalable storage solution to protect large volumes of data and ensure high availability for clustered HP ProLiant servers running VMware, Microsoft SQL Server and Exchange. The IT team required shared storage and a reliable VMware backup/replication strategy—but had strict budget constraints and wanted to leverage existing infrastructure.

After evaluating options, Proxen implemented StarWind Virtual SAN together with Veeam Backup & Replication 3.0, converting standard Intel servers into an affordable SAN, backing up vSphere volumes with Veeam to StarWind storage, and using StarWind’s asynchronous replication to an offsite DR site. The deployment delivered scalable, enterprise-class shared storage and disaster recovery, protected the VMware environment and critical applications, increased availability—and did so at a fraction of the originally planned cost.
