Inspired vLabs, a Phoenix-based provider of HTML-accessible virtual laboratory environments for IT training, needed to deliver flexible, secure, ready-to-use labs without extra setup for customers. Their previous storage stack relied on OpenFiler, which was complex, Linux-based and required an additional VM, consuming time and resources that could be better spent on Microsoft-focused training labs.

By switching to Windows-based StarWind Virtual SAN, Inspired vLabs installed storage on an existing Windows VM, eliminating the extra OpenFiler VM and simplifying deployment. The change reduced infrastructure overhead, streamlined operations, and lowered costs while maintaining the agility and accessibility of their virtual lab offerings.
