A StarWind Software Case Study
Enovade, a Malaysian IT consulting firm that relies on Microsoft Hyper‑V, experienced a critical storage problem when its physical SAN suffered hardware failures and became inaccessible. The environment also had a single point of failure in its disk partitioning, leaving applications unable to reach required storage and threatening business continuity.
Enovade implemented StarWind Virtual SAN to virtualize and present the physical SAN resources to its Hyper‑V hosts, creating virtual SAN disks and mirroring disks/flash across hypervisor servers to remove the SPOF. The solution restored application access, improved fault tolerance and operational continuity, and avoided the need to buy new physical shared storage.
