Education Resource Strategies achieved higher production uptime with StarWind Virtual SAN

Education Resource Strategies (ERS) is a national non-profit that advises school systems on using resources effectively. ERS was running virtualized, non-clustered Hyper-V servers with separate nodes and file replication, which created single points of failure and poor failover capability—putting production uptime at risk—while the organization had only a limited budget for infrastructure changes.

By deploying StarWind Virtual SAN on commodity hardware, ERS gained highly available, redundant storage that tolerates a node failure and enables easier scale-up and scale-out. The hardware-agnostic solution met ERS’s budget constraints, improved resiliency and fault tolerance, and has performed reliably since deployment.
