DESAN Research Solutions B.V., an Amsterdam-based market research firm, needed virtual shared storage to support its Hyper‑V cluster. Its existing iSCSI SAN delivered low performance, high maintenance costs and extra points of failure, and the proprietary solution prevented easy hardware upgrades.
