CShaheen Tech, an American IT consulting company, was using two standalone Hyper-V replicas for disaster recovery but lacked automatic failover. Storage Spaces Direct proved too limited and other shared-storage options required additional servers, so the company sought a cost-efficient solution that could leverage its existing RAID array.

They deployed StarWind Virtual SAN, which provided shared storage on top of their RAID, enabling a simple hyperconverged infrastructure with significant performance gains across both servers, reliable operation and easier management. The owner praises the UI and plans to continue using and recommending StarWind.
