American Payroll Association achieved the desired performance, uptime, and scalability with two-node StarWind HyperConverged Appliance

American Payroll Association (APA), founded in 1983 and a leader in payroll education, was running production on aging Dell Clariion and PowerEdge servers that were slow, unsupported, and not easily expandable. This created performance bottlenecks and risked uptime, so APA needed a cost-efficient, scalable infrastructure that could keep pace with growth.

APA deployed a two-node StarWind HyperConverged Appliance, which delivered the required performance, scalability, and built-in failover so production stayed online even when a node was down for maintenance. The solution met budget constraints, produced zero downtime during maintenance, and the organization plans to scale out with additional nodes as needed.
