American Care, Inc., a statewide Florida healthcare provider serving Medicare and Medicaid patients, relies on an in-house EMR hosted at its corporate data center and needed a shared storage solution to guarantee high availability and fault tolerance. Facing a mixed VMware/Windows environment and wanting to standardize on Windows Server, the company tested Storage Spaces Direct but found its performance and configuration requirements unsatisfactory.
