Blinkit Observability with StarTree and Apache Pinot

Blinkit, the quick commerce grocery delivery service serving more than 24 million users, needed a scalable way to support real-time observability, experimentation, and alerting as it moved from a one- or two-day delivery model to 15-minute delivery. To meet those demands, Blinkit partnered with StarTree and used StarTree Cloud, powered by Apache Pinot, for real-time analytics on its site and operations.

With StarTree, Blinkit implemented a real-time analytics platform that helped stabilize its cluster, improve reliability, and support new use cases without worrying about downtime. The solution now handles about 500 GB of data in Pinot tables and has enabled Blinkit to add more analytics-driven capabilities as it continues scaling its 15-minute delivery business.
