Utilitas commissions 1 MW hydrogen system with Stargate Hydrogen

Utilitas, a leading producer of renewable heat and electricity in Estonia, needed a partner to implement the first full hydrogen value chain project in the Baltic States. The challenge was to install a robust hydrogen production system under difficult conditions, including a tight urban site and harsh winter weather. They selected Stargate Hydrogen for its technical expertise and reliable delivery to achieve their goals of supplying hydrogen for mobility and integrating a heat recovery system.

Stargate Hydrogen delivered a turnkey, containerised hydrogen production system with a 1MW capacity, producing 432 kg of hydrogen per day. The solution included on-site purification and a heat recovery module connected to the local district heating grid. The system was successfully commissioned and is fully operational, producing high-purity hydrogen while also supplying clean thermal energy to local residents and improving Utilitas's overall energy efficiency.
