Case Study: RedRock Energy advances EnergiPark Åland with Stargate Hydrogen’s Aurora system

RedRock Energy builds a 40 MW hydrogen system with Stargate Hydrogen

RedRock Energy AB is developing a large-scale Energy Park in Åland that required a reliable and compact hydrogen production solution. The challenge was to integrate this technology into a park combining solar and wind power to produce and store green energy. For this project, RedRock selected the Aurora system from Stargate Hydrogen.

Stargate Hydrogen's solution involved its 10 MW modular Aurora electrolyser system, chosen for its high power density and durability. The planned outcome is a 40 MW electrolyser installation that will produce e-methane and contribute to a renewable energy grid. The project, which is in the planning phase with a planned completion of 2029, represents an investment of €170-200 million.
