Milani installs electrolyser unit in 2023–2024 with Stargate Hydrogen

Milani, an industrial company based in Italy, was seeking to enter the green hydrogen market to help decarbonize the building sector. The challenge was to create a full-scale, operative unit that could demonstrate the capabilities of hydrogen by integrating energy storage and reconversion. Milani selected Stargate Hydrogen as their vendor, choosing their pressurised alkaline electrolyser stack for the project.

Stargate Hydrogen provided a solution that leveraged Milani's existing photovoltaic system, using excess solar energy for green hydrogen production. The system was installed at Milani's headquarters and began operations in Spring 2024. The successful project now serves as a demonstrator for other companies and will be presented at major energy exhibitions, with plans to scale the solution for broader industrial and building applications.
