The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) supports development across the Americas, but its vast collection of research, courses, blog posts, briefs, and project content was spread across four separate search applications. This created information silos that made it difficult for employees to quickly find related resources, even when the content was highly relevant.

Using Stardog’s knowledge graph, built with natural language processing and machine learning, IDB created a unification layer to connect concepts across its data silos and surface the most relevant content based on context rather than just tags and keywords. The result was the Findability Project, which powers five applications, including a chatbot, and helps staff discover the right information wherever it lives in the organization.
