MPI Southern California - Customer Case Study

Meeting Professionals International Southern California Chapter (MPISCC) is a volunteer-run, member-focused organization of 600+ professionals serving Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and Las Vegas. Facing the twin challenges of growing and engaging a diverse membership across a large territory, MPISCC needed better outreach to emerging leaders and students, more effective event management, and a stronger communications hub to support volunteers and partners.

MPISCC launched a recognition program, handwritten member outreach, campus engagement and frequent member surveys, and leaned on the StarChapter platform for its website, event registration, calendars, advertising and a volunteer-run blog. The combined approach drove a 7% membership increase, lifted member engagement to 24%, nearly doubled student involvement, processed over 1,500 registrations with multiple sold-out events, and enabled one of North America’s largest Global Meetings Industry Day gatherings.
