Baltimore NACE, the local chapter of the National Association for Catering & Events, needed a better way to engage new members, coordinate volunteers and sponsors, and grow sustainably. The chapter relied on initiatives like an Ambassador program, member-run committees and high-profile events (including hosting the national Experience! 2014 conference), but still faced challenges with outreach, student recruitment and tracking where to focus improvements.

Using StarChapter’s platform to handle administrative tasks, reporting and membership statistics, Baltimore NACE was able to target outreach, streamline volunteer and committee management, and measure program impact. Coupled with member-led events and strong sponsorship support, the chapter increased engagement, attracted new members (many drawn in by the conference), improved retention, and implemented a strategic plan to continue growth and revamp fundraising for 2015.
