Large National Retail Chain, a discount variety retailer with more than 9,000 locations across 40 states, needed to become PCI compliant while managing a highly fragmented communications environment. Star2Star implemented its cloud communications/VoIP solution with analog POTS line support, line pooling, and line bursting to preserve existing numbers and reduce the chain’s dependence on thousands of analog lines. The result was a single monthly bill, PCI compliance without changing established numbers, and savings of tens of millions of dollars each year, while also eliminating the need for about 50 employees to manage phone bills.
