A STANLEY Healthcare Case Study
State University of New York Upstate Medical University (SUNY Upstate) faced significant operational challenges, including the inefficient tracking of critical medical equipment and the manual monitoring of pharmaceutical refrigerator temperatures. These issues led to surgery delays, capital overspending, and risks of spoilage. To address this, the medical center turned to STANLEY Healthcare for a solution.
STANLEY Healthcare implemented its AeroScout Asset Management, Environmental Monitoring, and Patient Safety solutions. These Wi-Fi-based systems enabled real-time tracking of over 2,000 assets and automated temperature monitoring for nearly 200 refrigerators. As a result, SUNY Upstate dramatically improved operating room throughput, reduced capital equipment purchases, prevented pharmaceutical and food spoilage, and enhanced pediatric patient safety, all while expanding facilities without increasing clinical engineering staff.
