New Generation of Hugs Infant Protection on Wi-Fi Helps Hospitals Extend Security and Improve Visibility, Offers Advantages of an Enterprise-Class System

Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC), a large tertiary care facility, had successfully used a traditional standalone infant protection system from STANLEY Healthcare but saw an opportunity to enhance security by integrating it with their hospital-wide IT infrastructure. They sought a new solution that could leverage their existing Wi-Fi network to extend protection coverage beyond the maternity units and improve operational visibility for their staff.

STANLEY Healthcare implemented its Hugs Wi-Fi Infant Protection solution, which runs on the hospital's existing network and AeroScout RTLS platform. This provided PRMC with campus-wide infant monitoring, enabling real-time location tracking during emergencies and streamlining daily workflows by allowing procedures to be completed from any network workstation. The STANLEY Healthcare solution resulted in improved infant security, more efficient discharge processes for greater patient satisfaction, and a centralized, enterprise-class system that is easier for the IT team to manage.
