CrisisReady, a research collaboration between the Harvard Data Science Initiative and Direct Relief, reached out to the vendor Stamen with a challenge. Their method for generating real-time disaster reports and analysis for emergency response teams was clunky and cumbersome, making it difficult to efficiently aggregate and analyze a multitude of varied data sets for increased situational awareness.

Stamen designed and developed a platform called ReadyMapper to streamline this process. The solution allows users to analyze real-time data from various sources, glean insights, and quickly customize reports with dashboard visualizations for decision-makers. This elegant and intuitive platform replaced their previous cumbersome method, enabling CrisisReady to more effectively provide data-driven reports to frontline emergency teams.
