Cloudflare, a provider of cloud-based security and performance services, faced a challenge with its manually maintained software development kits (SDKs). This process created inconsistencies, slowed the release of new features, and left some programming languages without adequate support. They sought to automate SDK generation using their OpenAPI specifications.

Stainless provided a solution by implementing an automated SDK pipeline. Using Cloudflare's OpenAPI schemas and a configuration file, Stainless generated high-quality SDKs. As a result, Cloudflare automatically ships over 1,000 endpoints across three language SDKs with hands-off updates, moving from a manual, inconsistent process to a single, automated pull request workflow.
