Mobile Communication for a Mobile Industry

REINERT Logistics, a Germany-based transportation and logistics company with more than 1,200 employees across Europe, needed a better way to communicate with its highly distributed workforce. With 1,050 drivers and only 219 desk workers, the company struggled to keep non-desk employees informed in a timely, consistent way, relying on outdated quarterly newsletters and multiple disconnected channels. Staffbase provided an employee app to help unify internal communication across all employees.

With Staffbase’s mobile employee app, REINERT Logistics can now share information quickly and broadly with both desk and non-desk workers, including updates, interviews, personnel news, and potentially job postings. The company also pre-installed the app on tablets in part of its fleet and plans to promote voluntary use on drivers’ personal phones. While no specific numeric results were reported, REINERT said the app improves transparency, speed, employee engagement, and connection to the company.
