How Viessmann Manages Data Throughout the Employee Lifecycle

Viessmann, a leading manufacturer of heating and solar products, wanted to modernize internal communications and better support its many non-desk employees with a single app experience. Using the Staffbase employee app, Vi2Go, the company needed a reliable way to keep user accounts in sync across the employee lifecycle, especially to automatically offboard employees who had left the company.

Staffbase solved this by helping Viessmann use the Staffbase REST API alongside SSO with OpenID and a daily cron job that removed departed employees based on shared external IDs. This automated process keeps user data updated every day, supports seamless onboarding and offboarding, and is robust enough to continue even if a user no longer exists in Staffbase. The app has since grown to more than 11,000 users, helping Viessmann keep employees connected and informed.
