UC Health, a 12,000‑employee health system serving roughly two million people a year, struggled with fragmented internal communications and persistently low engagement: employees received many messages but still felt uninformed, and desktop‑centric channels didn’t reach clinicians on the floor. To address this, UC Health partnered with Staffbase to deploy a mobile‑first employee app called The Link.
Working with Staffbase, UC Health launched a branded app with SSO, targeted channels, a COVID‑19 information hub, a Compliance Corner, and social features like “Kindness and Kudos,” plus the top intranet pages for quick access. The Link drove measurable impact: adoption rose from about 45% (≈4,000 users) to 75% (almost 9,000 employees and physicians), creating a single source of truth for critical updates and noticeably improving internal communication and engagement.
