An Internal Communications App for a World-Leading Heating and Solar Manufacturer

Viessmann Group, the international manufacturer of industrial heating and cooling systems, needed a faster, more transparent way to communicate with employees across sites, including many without regular computer access. Working with Staffbase, Viessmann set out to replace communication gaps with a mobile-first internal communications app, Vi2go, while also keeping security, access control, and employee adoption in mind.

Staffbase helped Viessmann launch Vi2go in just a few weeks, using a subscription-based employee app that connected with Viessmann’s IT systems to manage permissions for users, editors, and administrators. The app quickly gained traction, reaching 2,000 downloads early on and then adding 10 to 20 new users per day, while reducing reliance on printed publications and expanding into a broader digital communications hub with idea management, merchandising, and future portal integrations.
