A Branded Employee App to Connect a Dispersed Workforce

Peaks and Plains, a housing association based in Macclesfield, needed a better way to communicate with over 200 dispersed employees working in roles such as repairs, care, and support. Before using Staffbase’s Employee App, staff updates were sent mainly by email and an internally hosted intranet that required frequent password resets and limited who could post news, making company-wide communication difficult.

Staffbase, implemented via partner Workvine, provided a branded employee app that enabled faster, more inclusive two-way communication across the workforce. The results were strong: 50% of users signed up within 24 hours and 90% within the first week, with most employees seeing updates within an hour. Staff could now publish content, comment, like posts, and respond to surveys, helping Peaks and Plains build a more connected and engaged workforce.
