Petron Grandsaga, a chain of 24-hour petrol stations in Kajang, Selangor, was struggling with punch cards and manual attendance tracking. The system allowed staff to manipulate clock records, made it difficult for managers to monitor overtime accurately, and created a lot of end-of-month admin work. Petron Grandsaga turned to StaffAny, a shift-focused digital HR and scheduling platform, to move away from their outdated process.
With StaffAny, Petron Grandsaga improved scheduling, enforced more accurate clock-in/out and break tracking, and required staff to justify overtime daily for manager approval. The results included an estimated RM500–1,000 in monthly overtime savings for 30 staff, a reduction in payroll calculation time from five days to one day per month, and the elimination of punch card costs and maintenance. StaffAny also helped improve transparency, staff efficiency, and communication during the transition.
