The customer had struggled with traditional branch-based staffing agencies that were out of the loop, created co-employment concerns, and pulled time away from managing the core workforce. Staff Management | SMX provided its Onsite Workforce Management (OWM) model and onsite service team.

With Staff Management | SMX’s OWM approach, the vendor proactively managed the temporary workforce onsite, stayed closely aligned with plant operations, and dedicated recruiting and management efforts entirely to the customer. The result was significantly lower temporary turnover compared with other staffing models, along with better coordination and more time for the plant manager to focus on developing the direct workforce. At peak, the program supported 1,200 SMX associates and scaled production from 500 to 10,000 units per line per shift.
