Stackla — Visual UGC by Nosto helped Glasgow 2014 deliver on its goal to make the 20th Commonwealth Games the “Social Games.” The challenge was to immerse global fans before, during and after the event and to manage large volumes of official, competitor and fan content in real time for use across the Glasgow2014 website, mobile apps and stadium screens.
Stackla aggregated, automatically moderated and curated content from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Flickr into over 50 sport- and topic-specific pages, a social hub, personalized mobile feeds and 24 stadium social walls (with multiple variants), plus VIP whitelisting and live engagement tools like Twitter polls. The platform pulled in more than 250,000 pieces of content and generated over 1 million widget impressions during the 10 days of competition (and 100,000+ before and after), significantly boosting fan engagement.
