Making the Most of the Perfect #MontanaMoment

The Montana Office of Tourism redesigned its website in 2014 to replace a custom, non‑responsive site and gain a CMS for regular updates and mobile compatibility. The team also wanted to better integrate its strong social performance—especially the #MontanaMoment hashtag—and find a way to surface and manage abundant user‑generated photos while retaining brand control for live events.

Working with Razorfish, Montana added a Stackla grid to the homepage to curate and display UGC and used Stackla’s moderation tools to manage content from multiple networks in real time, including live displays at the Governor’s Conference. The result was a more agile, mobile‑friendly site with an integrated marketing ecosystem that showcases high‑quality, on‑brand photos and gives the team confidence and control over what appears publicly.
