Ad:tech—run by DMG Events and featuring speakers from Twitter, Google, NASA and more—needed to turn strong pre‑event buzz and a high volume of social posts into a cohesive, relevant experience on-site and online. The organisers wanted to promote the #adtechANZ hashtag across all touchpoints and needed a way to aggregate, moderate and display user‑generated content in real time without distracting from sessions.
Using Stackla, DMG Events aggregated posts from all major social networks, curated a social hub that became an ad:tech Live tab, and pushed selected content to custom event screens with session‑specific filters and live moderation workflows. The approach delivered a bespoke social event experience, drove sharing (over 1,000 posts pre‑event and 3,000+ during the conference), saw #adtechANZ trend twice on Twitter, and significantly increased attendee engagement.
