Cirque du Soleil Creates Immersive Digital Experiences with User-Generated Visuals

Cirque du Soleil set out to make fans the center of its digital brand with the #CirqueWay campaign, moving beyond staged performances to surface authentic audience experiences. The challenge was finding, rights-managing and publishing high-quality fan content at global scale across many shows, languages and platforms while integrating with their Sitecore sites and in-venue displays.

Using Stackla’s AI-powered visual UGC platform, Cirque du Soleil automated discovery, curation, contextualization and rights management of fan posts for show pages, social commerce, lobby screens and recruitment sites. The result: a steady pipeline of real fan visuals across 18 shows (plus Blue Man Group), 50,000 pieces of UGC every three months (13,600 used), major time savings (equivalent to two FTEs), and campaign reach growing from 649M to 1.1B in year two and 2.8B in the latest year.
