A Stackla Case Study
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is the Bay Area’s primary metro system, carrying over 400,000 weekday riders. To boost off-peak and weekend ridership, the BART marketing team launched the BARTable initiative to promote events and local destinations, but needed a better way to surface and leverage rider-created social content—curating posts, geo-tagging, filtering, securing rights and collecting user info—to drive awareness and engagement.
BART selected Stackla Visual UGC by Nosto to aggregate and display hashtagged content for the #BARTableHolidays campaign across a landing page and email newsletters. The campaign generated 366 user posts and produced strong lifts across channels: +41% web sessions, +61% users, +60% pageviews, +13% pages/session, +7% email CTR, plus month-over-month follower growth on Instagram (+5.5%) and Facebook (+3.5%). Stackla also sped up content curation and made the program easy to manage, prompting plans to replicate the approach for future seasonal campaigns.
