A Stack Overflow Case Study
Skai, a global provider of AI-enabled marketing and market-intelligence products with over 300 engineers across multiple sites, faced a growing institutional-knowledge problem after acquisitions and a rebrand: teams repeatedly answered the same technical questions, struggled with outdated docs, and relied on poor searchability in Slack and scattered wikis. To solve this, Skai turned to Stack Overflow’s Stack Overflow for Teams to create a centralized, searchable Q&A knowledge base.
Stack Overflow ran a 60-day proof-of-value and helped Skai seed the platform with subject-matter experts and key topics; adoption grew rapidly through a Slack integration and gamification. The Stack Overflow for Teams rollout produced more than 350 Q&As (≈50% organic), average answer times under 1.5 hours, about 115 developer visits per day, and 42 daily instances of knowledge reuse — reducing interruptions and saving SME time while improving developer productivity.
