Tails.com, a fast-growing pet-food scale-up, needed to rapidly expand and attract high-quality engineers while also proving it was a serious tech employer (its consumer-facing brand doesn’t immediately signal a strong engineering org). By running targeted Candidate Search, proactive outreach and A/B-tested job listings (integrated into their ATS) via Stack Overflow, Tails.com significantly expanded its talent funnel and employer visibility among developers. Stack Overflow became their best-performing hiring source, helping hire one quarter of the engineering team in 12 months and supporting the overall tripling of the engineering department, while improving reach and application conversion.
