Rodeo, a product-focused startup, needed to build an in-house software team from near zero after moving away from external development. CTO Hans Leautaud faced the challenge of hiring a diverse mix of junior-to-senior engineers quickly and turned to Stack Overflow’s talent platform (alongside Honeypot) to reach engineers where they actually engage.
Using Stack Overflow’s talent platform for both active sourcing and job applications, Rodeo attracted higher-quality candidates and improved technical conversations by engaging applicants directly with the CTO and engineers. Stack Overflow produced measurable results: three of Rodeo’s five engineers were hired through Stack Overflow, helping grow the team to five engineers plus a UX/UI designer and product owner and accelerating Rodeo’s plans to double its product team.
