A STAAH Case Study
The Auckland City Hotel, a property in the heart of Auckland's business and entertainment district, was facing a challenge with guest bookings. A broken user experience, where guests were taken off the hotel's website to complete payments, was causing reservations to be abandoned. To create a seamless booking journey, the hotel sought a new distribution solution from STAAH that could host its payment gateway.
STAAH implemented its booking engine, which hosted the payment gateway as a widget to keep users on the hotel's site. The solution also included a channel manager and GDS connection. Although the COVID-19 pandemic slowed overall results, the hotel immediately saw a reduction in booking drop-offs at the payment stage. The Auckland City Hotel praised STAAH's support and is confident the platform will help it attract and grow bookings as travel recovers.
