Suning, a major Chinese omni-channel retailer, faced the challenge of seamlessly integrating its online and offline channels to provide a unified customer experience. To meet growing e-commerce demand and ensure high-speed, flexible, and ergonomic intralogistics processes, they partnered with vendor SSI SCHAEFER to develop a new state-of-the-art distribution center.
SSI SCHAEFER implemented a comprehensive solution featuring a high-bay warehouse, a miniload system, and a carousel system, all controlled by its WAMAS® logistics software. This highly automated center stores 20 million items and processes up to 1.8 million items per day, enabling Suning to efficiently supply both its physical stores and online customers. The partnership and SSI SCHAEFER's expertise were crucial in creating a dynamic and efficient omni-channel logistics operation.
