Integration of RackBot System Increases Turnover Performance

SSI Schaefer partnered with Desigual, the Spanish fashion brand, to address the challenge of integrating storage capacities from an older warehouse into a new central facility without expanding the physical space. The goal was to achieve a combined, higher turnover performance to accommodate the high volatility and seasonal peaks of the fashion industry.

The solution implemented by SSI Schaefer was a flexible and scalable system featuring 25 fully automated RackBot autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). This system, managed by SSI Schaefer's WAMAS software, was installed during ongoing operations and enabled a targeted turnover of 30,000 units per day in two-shift operation. The integration saved Desigual time and money by optimizing processes and providing the capacity for future expansion without system downtime.
