Apotea, a rapidly growing Swedish online pharmacy, faced the challenge of scaling its operations to meet surging e-commerce demand, processing up to 100,000 orders daily. SSI SCHAEFER implemented a comprehensive automation solution centered around multiple A-Frame systems, which became the core of the warehouse. This was integrated with Pick by Light aisles, BD Rowa Vmax dispensing robots, and a bin conveying system, all managed by SSI SCHAEFER's intelligent WAMAS logistics software. The results were transformative: the A-Frames alone now process 70% of all orders, enabling 90-95% of orders to be fulfilled automatically. This has maximized efficiency, allowed the company to handle peak volumes, and provided an excellent return on investment.
