CERP, a company delivering to over 600 pharmacies in France from its warehouse in Le Plessis-Robinson, faced the challenges of handling a higher throughput, managing an increasing number of SKUs, and increasing picking efficiency while upgrading its system without interrupting operations. To meet these goals, they partnered with intralogistics vendor SSI SCHAEFER for new system components.

SSI SCHAEFER implemented a solution that integrated new components like an SSI Carousel and Get and Pick Station into the existing structure to handle items with medium or slow turnover rates. This retrofit enabled CERP to process approximately 25,000 order lines and 5,000 bins daily within a 7.5-hour workday, significantly increasing the degree of automation and picking efficiency. The successful implementation was achieved without interrupting ongoing operations, solidifying a long-term partnership between SSI SCHAEFER and CERP.
