EBOS Group's subsidiary, Symbion, a distributor of healthcare and pharmaceutical products, needed a logistics solution to ensure it could meet high customer expectations for fast, accurate, and on-time deliveries to pharmacies and hospitals. Partnering with SSI SCHAEFER, the goal was to implement a state-of-the-art automated system at its new Brisbane distribution center to achieve industry-leading efficiency and support future business growth.

SSI SCHAEFER implemented a custom automated solution featuring its SSI Cuby shuttle system arranged in a 3D-MATRIX Solution®, goods-to-person Advanced Pick Stations, an A-Frame, and WEASEL® automated guided vehicles, all managed by WAMAS® software. This integration resulted in dramatically faster order processing, with the time between order receipt and shipment reduced to as little as 45 minutes. The system processes up to 9,000 orders and 85,000 order lines per day with high picking accuracy, ensuring Symbion can reliably fulfill pharmacy customer demands.
