Fenix Outdoor Logistics, the logistics arm of Fenix Outdoor International AG, faced the growing challenges of omnichannel distribution. To achieve a "best in class" operation for supplying its stores and e-commerce customers, it needed a solution to increase productivity, reduce order times, and handle daily and seasonal fluctuations. SSI Schaefer implemented a turnkey solution with the highly dynamic SSI Carrier pouch sorter at its core. This system processes up to 4,500 items per hour, handling 90 percent of orders with 100 percent process security. The solution provided maximum efficiency, significantly reduced throughput times and costs, and enabled fast re-integration of returns. The successful implementation led to a second construction phase to extend the SSI Schaefer system.
